Center Introduction The center was established in 1997 as one of Shanghai's clinical diagnosis-and-treatment centers, approved by the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau; Professor Yu Chuanxin served as director. Its mission is to develop diagnosis and treatment of female reproductive-endocrine disorders, tackle difficult cases in reproductive medicine, and standardize care. It runs a complete outpatient–ward–endocrine-lab system covering reproductive-endocrine issues across a woman's life cycle, infertility, perimenopause, and sex-differentiation/development anomalies.

Department Features 1. Outpatient: full-day specialist clinics for 'reproductive-endocrine infertility and PCOS' at Yangpu and Huangpu; MDT clinics for difficult perimenopause and refractory PCOS; remote consultation for complex cases. 2. Fertility ward (Ward 17): tubal and fibroid surgeries preserving fertility, ovarian-tissue cryopreservation for oncology patients, and fertility-preservation services. 3. Endocrine clinic and fertility ward: accepts referrals of critical and complex cases (e.g., severe abnormal uterine bleeding with anemia, severe OHSS). 4. Continuing education: annual national training courses on reproductive endocrinology, PCOS, clinical genetics, etc.

Facilities & Techniques: AIH, AID, IVF-ET, ICSI, PGD, PESA/TESA, FET, assisted hatching, egg freezing, prenatal diagnosis, and peripheral/chorionic chromosome tests.

Advantages: combined cellular and molecular genetics for rapid Down-syndrome prenatal diagnosis, SRY diagnosis, sex-chromosome assessment, AIH/AID, IVF-ET, ICSI, PESA/TESA, FET, assisted hatching, blastocyst culture, egg/sperm freezing, genetic counseling, prenatal diagnosis, and male/female infertility care.
